Research

The primary mission of the NAACFRC is to provide national leadership and excellence in community-engaged research to inform programs and policies so they better serve African American children and families. Community-based participatory research elevates communities’ perspectives, preferences, and priorities. The Center’s research focuses on programs funded by the Administration for Children and Families, including Head Start and Early Head Start, child care assistance, and Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF).
